It’s results time who goes home and who stays.  Based on last nights performance I really feel that it’s Paige whom should go home.  I know Paige is so much better than what she showed last night.

Top 11 performance.  I love the harmonies.  Interesting choice.  Choreography is not the strong point.  I am enjoying the song.  Is the spinning camera making anyone else dizzy. ;) lol  Why  couldn’t all of you sound this strong last night during your individual performances.

LOL they left Andrew behind in the Ford Commercial, I wonder if that is a sign.

  1. Siobhan – Safe and going on tour.
  2. Lee – Safe
  3. Casey – Safe
  4. Tim – In the bottom three as well.
  5. Paige – Randy was right in guessing Paige was in the bottom three.
  6. Aaron – Safe
  7. Didi – Safe
  8. Michael – Safe
  9. Crystal – Safe
  10. Andrew – Safe
  11. Katie – In the Bottom Three

I can agree with Paige and Tim but in no sense and order in this world should Katie be down there.  Thank you Ryan – Katie is safe.

Paige Miles goes home and based on last nights performance I can’t say I’m too surprised.

Well it’s another night of American Idol.  Let’s see how the guys do.  Crystal was taken to the hospital and that is why the guys came on tonight instead of the ladies.  Well I wonder what happened there.

  • Big Mike Lynche is first with a James Brown song ‘This is a man’s world’   Pitch seems good.  Emotion seems there I’m enjoying his performance Don’t like the song choice but I’m not a James Brown fan to begin with. All in all I’d have to say good performance, while I still like him overall I still feel he needs to step it up even more. I agree with the judges it’s the best we’ve gotten from Big Mike but I still feel he can deliver more.
  • John Park is up next I appreciate his self reflection from what he did last week.  Song will be ‘Gravity’ by John Meyer.  Aarrghhhhh another slow song.  He caught my attention with the first note and seems to be holding my enjoyment.  A bit pitchy in the chorus I think.  Just slightly though.  I feel overall a better song choice.  I agree with Randy there was nothing new on the take of the song.  I think this kid, should go far if he can continue to grow as he did over this past week.  I can see what Simon is saying Believability is a big issue.  Thank you Kara, yes get out of the Ballad Sleepy thing.
  • Casey James is on next hey can you redo our house here? :) lol  Such a refreshing personality.  Can definitely rock the guitar, This is they type of performance I enjoy.  Pitch is good occasional problems.  Weird sound when he swallows the mike.  Overall best of the night for me thus far.  Split Jury on the Judges.  I seem to agree with Kara and Simon.  I still feel overall his overall performance is best for the night thus far.
  • Alex Lambert is up singing John Legends ‘Everybody Knows’.  Ouch bad song choice, I’m not even sure if the guitar is in tune.  Pitch is awful.  Middle of song is a little better.  His pitch is killing him tonight maybe he should have gotten sick before hand.  Not seeing any kind of wow.  I can’t remember last weeks performance.  I agree with Simon, confidence is definitely lacking in this kid.  I stand by my earlier statements just didn’t sound right or look right for me.
  • Todrick Hall, I think it’s great that this kid listens to the judges and is attempting to become a better artist as a result.  His voice is so clear, on the fence right now.  Pitch sounds good until the chorus.  May have changed the song a bit to much.  I applaud the originality,  he seems to have come around in the second half.  I almost feel his arrangement is just weird.
  • Jermaine Sellers I missed the performance due to taking our puppy for his last nightly walk.
  • Andrew Garcia: Pitch wasn’t there.  I enjoyed the overall performance.  I feel something was lacking.  Not certain what he is missing.  I agree with Kara the song was a safe choice.  I agree with Simon as well not a wowing performance and was okay.  Although I do enjoy his voice.  I look forward to next week seeing what he comes up with.
  • Aaron Kelly: My Girl by the temptations is a large order.  He appears much more confident than last week.  He’s sticking close to the original.  I’m afraid he might get dinged for not making it his own.  I’m actually enjoying this performance way more than the others it has energy, and the pitch is good.  This song would have made me stop and watch the show.  Good critique from Randy.  Ellen said forgettable and I actually disagree.  Kara gave a good critique.  Simon didn’t like it because he felt it was all over the place.  I disagree with Simon.  I understand what Simon is saying but I feel his performance outshined the others tonight.  I think Simon wants this kid to be his very best and will therefore always have a constructive critique for him.
  • Tim Urban:  I look forward and appreciate his pre song candor.  So much better than last week.  He seems much more in his element tonight and less like a David Cassidy Imitator.  Randy saying Karaoke.  I didn’t hear the pitch problems Randy and Ellen are saying.  Kara saying he needs to work on arrangement may be what he needs.  Simon gave kudos.  I agree with Simon and am impressed by his overall approach.
  • Lee Dewyze:  Stage presence aplenty.  Excellent, I think there may have been one or two notes he missed.  Excellent emotion, wonderful feeling.  Seems like they saved the best for last.  He took a chance but I feel it paid off.  We have a new winner for the night.

All in all there were only a few gentleman that really stood out.  I look forward to results.  I have no real solid predictions other than I see Lee, and Aaron as definite long term contenders.  Big Mike may be there longer but really has some heavy competition in my eyes.

After a couple days of for the most part, great vocals I look forward to seeing who goes home tonight. I always love to see how they act in their group number, and well I think the producers made a fair, but not the best song choice for the top 24. The song ‘American Boy’, really, should the ladies be upset about the lack of political correctness?

Well at least they let the ladies go first:

  • Siobhan is safe
  • Haeley is safe
  • Michelle is safe
  • Katelyn is safe ( One of the best I felt from the other night)
  • Katie is safe
  • Janelle is going home
    • I honestly can say that before she sings her final song I just don’t remember her.  I guess it’s like they say they have to make that great impression.  Now that she’s singing I remember her very well and while I feel she did a good job at the Heart: What about love? It is one of those songs we’ve all heard so many times that it’s very difficult for someone trying to make that great first impression with it on the first night.

Allison comes back and I can’t see I’ve seen much growth since last season She must have taken a year off although I will admit her pitch is better than it was last year.

What’s with the dress it looks like they played pin the tail with the dress and thus some weird thing is glued to her butt.

Last Row of ladies:

  • Paige is safe
  • Lacey is safe
    • ( I can’t say I enjoyed her performance this week she needs to step it up. )
  • Lilly is safe, Crystal is safe ( I feel she could be a dark horse in this competition if she stops singing as if she is on the streets.  I love her show but need to see more from her. ) Ashley is going home Didi is safe.
Ashley we know your upset and you have the right to be but hold on to your composure girl, let the attitude just fall away.  I’m hearing the song for the second time and still don’t remember the first.  Pitch seems to be all over the board, she needs to take a breath and compose herself.

In my opinion the final performances of these kids need to be as good if not better than what they did during the week  as I feel it’s another chance to kick start your fan base with a composed performance that will leave them looking for your first album.  Sadly I did not get that feeling from this performance.

LOL way to go Tyler showing up to final rehersal in robe, boots and socks. lol

  • Okay guys:
Big Mike – Safe, I like this guy but must admit unless he steps it up he won’t be here long
  • John Park Safe
  • Aaron – Safe, Now this kid can sing, I like him
  • Todrick safe another one I felt had a memorable performance
  • Tim is safe and Joe is  not, I can’t believe it.. If you look at the performances Joe was 100 times stronger.  Other than looking like a young Shaun Cassidy, Tim did not offer much in the way of vocal talent at least from what he showed last night.

Kris Allen is singing for Haiti.  A very noble cause.  I hope our contestants are taking good notes for this is what it’s all about at least to me.  When you can feel or be moved by a song or performance that is what makes mountains.  Let it be has there ever been a better written song, I love his unique flavor that he has added.  Maybe I’m too sentimental for my age but he made my heart feel for Haiti.  Great Job.

  • Casey James – Safe
    • I feel he will be here till the end, excellent vocal and enjoyable personality.
  • Jermaine safe
    • Another contender amongst the men.
  • Lee is safe
  • Andrew is safe
  • Alex is safe
  • Tyler is going home
    • I agreed with Simon completely last night and with all the judges he was there on appearance more than vocal.  It bit him, I do hope he preservers and continues his journey as he can be great he just needs to remember what is important.

Well these are my humble thoughts for tonights Idol Results  Feel free to pipe in with your thoughts.
