I would have to give round one to Lee Dewyze with his version of “The Boxer” over Crystal Bowersox and her rendition of “Bobby McGee” . While the judges seemed to prefer to Crystal over Lee I just loved Lee’s more subtle intro and look forward to seeing him step it up in his next performance.
Round two is the producers choice and I look forward to seeing what is chosen. Lee get’s “Everybody Hurts”. Oh come on you couldn’t give him a song more upbeat. Well he is doing a great job with it. He is really connection and this song does him justice. I must say I do believe it is better than his first performance. It is amazing to see how far your confidence has come and you really nailed this performance. Randy that was definitely better, I liked it. Ellen felt you went off a couple of times. Kara what make you great is that you are emotionally connected. Simon felt that was a perfect choice of song for you but think you are nervous. Crystal gets “Black Velvet” okay first of all where is the justice. They picked a great song for Lee and a Classic that everyone loves for Crystal. She could karaoke it and get high praise. I’m not knocking her talent and she is doing a great job. I just don’t understand why the drastic song choice difference.
Lee’s final song is “Beautiful Day” this will be his single. Wonderful emotion and energy. You just have a way to pull the audience into your performance. I must say I prefer that subtle technique versus the approach of your rival. I can you see you all the way as the next Idol and well you will be getting my vote as I have disagreed with the judges all night. Love the fact you made yourself vulnerable by leaving your guitar backstage. Crystal finishes the night with “Up to the mountain.” These two songs are great as they are uniquely suite to each artist. While Crystal is doing a great job with dynamics and range I personally just don’t have that connection with her that I had with Lee all night. I also think I was frustrated with some of the judges comments and the producer choice.
Needless to say while both artists are great, I will be supporting Lee tonight.

Time to find out who goes to the finale. It’s the result show one hour of torture and suspense. I almost wish they would just make it a five minute show instead of an hour. I voted for Lee last night for I felt his performances dominated over the other two. Ford Video was entertaining.
Performances for the night have been the best they have all season. I just look forward to the results which should be coming up soon. Finally the results.
Lee chose “Simple Man” Ellen thinks you grew from a lamb to a gazelle. Crystal sang “Come to my window” Randy did not like the arrangement. Casey Randy said your choice song was ok. After the nationwide vote the first person in the finale is Lee Dewyze. Crystal Bowersox will be joining Lee. Casey goes home tonight.
