Blissful Autumn ( Poem )

I couldn’t help but think of a few things that makes autumn, well autumn, at least to me.  That is what inspired this poem.  I hope this hits home with a few others of you out there.  I also hope you have a great safe autumn and holiday season.

Tis’ blissful things that autumn brings
each and every year,
like changing colors of the leaves
which make us smile and cheer.

Tis’ blissful things that autumn brings
like raking leaves every day,
The wind toying with emotions
as our work blows away.

Tis’ blissful things that autumn brings
this special time of year,
From hot to cold the weather swings
like the flu running rampant here.

Tis’ blissful things that autumn brings
soon we’ll be stringing lights,
After which we read Greek
assembling toys and bikes.

Tis’ blissful things that autumn brings
Thank god it’s once a year.
