Gazing at the torn reflection in the murky water I lay beside, my thoughts reflect on the journeys that brought me here.  With some effort from exhaustion and shearing pain I roughly hoist myself to my knees using the broken stone edge of the small pool as support.  The silence of the dead echoes within the chamber and looking around shattered bodies torn with blood, broken, and lifeless lay scattered throughout the hewn stone chamber.  As if a great wind had broken through and scattered filth around a room.  Many a great warrior died today, and for the perseverance of the Realm many died along the way.   This final battle was merely the toll for one future or another.  While generations of our side will call today a victory, others … Read entire article »
